One Piece: How powerful will Luffy be when he reaches Gear 5 and awakens his Devil Fruit at the same time?

Throughout the One Piece story line, Luffy always has two main forms of power: the power of the devil fruit and the power of spirit.

The will of a Straw Hat captain is to protect his teammates and friends.

The devil fruit that Luffy possesses is the Gomu Gomu no Mi, which allows the user’s body to gain the properties of rubber, making the person who eats it become a `Rubber Man`.

With these two sources of power, Luffy has defeated many fierce enemies, making him from an anonymous pirate to a Five Emperor of the New World.

However, in the future, to become Pirate King, Luffy will have to face many much stronger opponents such as the other Four Emperors and the World Government Navy, so his abilities certainly do not stop.

But have you ever thought if Luffy achieved Gear 5 and awakened the Devil Fruit at the same time, how `dominant` he would be?

So far we only know the two people who have awakened the devil fruit: Doflamingo and Katukuri.

For example, after awakening the Ito Ito no Mi silk fruit, Donquixote Doflamingo can turn the surrounding environment into silk, allowing him to bind and control the victim at will.

However, other devil fruits may have an awakening form unlike the above two fruits.

What about Gear 5?

At this point, Luffy’s arms and legs may still be coated with Haki and his shape will grow to a giant size.

If all of this is true, then Luffy could change his body into a giant rubber block that can be molded at will.
