(Dan Tri) - Israel has deployed missile boats to the Red Sea following raids by the Houthi group in Yemen, while continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Al Arabiya TV channel reported today, November 1, that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale campaign, attacking the Gaza Strip from five different directions.

According to Al Arabiya, this move could become an important stage in the conflict between Israel and the Hamas movement, the force controlling the Gaza Strip.

If the Israeli army is successful in this operation, it could begin to push deeper into Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today sent his condolences to the families of 12 IDF soldiers after they were officially confirmed killed in fighting with Hamas in Gaza this week.

`We are in a difficult war. This will be a long war,` Mr. Netanyahu said, affirming that Israel will fight `until victory`.

The IDF today announced it has deployed additional missile boats to the Red Sea following several missile and drone attacks from Yemen into Israel.

On October 31, air raid sirens sounded in the area of the Red Sea city of Eilat.

Houthi forces in Yemen say attacks on Israel will continue until the country stops military operations against Hamas in Gaza.

Last week, Israel accused the Houthis of dispatching drones to cause explosions in two Egyptian towns on the Red Sea with the ultimate goal of attacking Israel.

The Pentagon also confirmed that a US warship on October 19 intercepted 3 cruise missiles and several drones launched by Houthi forces from Yemen that were likely heading towards Israel.
